The Amrit Bharat Station plan is tasked with developing around 1300 railway stations

New Delhi: 1309 railway stations have been identified for development under the Amrit Bharat Station project, according to Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The minister of railways stated that work has begun on over 560 of these chosen stations in response to a question in the Lok Sabha. He stated that as part of the Amrit Bharat Station initiative, the government is developing a master plan and traffic plan for connectivity with cities and railroads. He went on to say that 25,000 km of new railway lines have been put into service over the previous 9.5 years thanks to increased efforts by the NDA government to install new rails across the nation. The Minister stated that under the current NDA government, 14 kilometres of railway tracks are being installed every day.
