Actor and reputed humanitarian Sonu Sood is in the news for an awesome reason. At a time when oxygen cylinders and oxygen concentrators are not optimally distributed in the country, he has decided to import oxygen plants from France and other countries. The infrastructure will be installed at various places in India.

This importing is learned to be in anticipation of the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic. At least four of the plants will be set up in the worst-hit States. This must include Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala, perhaps.

“A lot of patients have been desperate for want of oxygen. The oxygen plants will not only supply to entire hospitals but will also get these oxygen cylinders filled up, which will solve a major problem of the people suffering from Covid-19,” a statement from the ‘Dookudu’ and ‘Acharya’ actor said.

The philanthropist is all set to install the first plant before May 20 or so. The challenge of saving lives has been accepted by the actor in a big way.
