Royal Enfield had announced to launch a new motorcycle in the country every 4 months. In the recent past, the company had launched the Meteor 350 cruiser, and revised versions of the Himalayan and the 650 Twins. RE will launch the much-awaited new-gen Classic 350 on August 27, 2021. It will be the second motorcycle to be based on the brand’s new “J” architecture, which also underpins the Meteor 350.

Royal Enfield is also testing a new 350cc motorcycle, which is rumoured to be called the Hunter 350. It will be positioned against the Honda CB 350 RS. Adding to it, RE is also developing a more road-focused version of the Himalayan. It is rumoured to be called the Himalayan GT or the Scram 411.

However, the next big product from the Royal Enfield will be a 650cc cruiser motorcycle. The new RE 650cc cruiser has been spotted testing with a new camouflage. This cruiser is most likely to be launched in the beginning of the next year. For people not in the know, RE had showcased the KX Bobber design concept at the 2018 EICMA. The new cruiser is most likely to share the design elements from the concept.

In terms of styling, the new Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser gets a low slung tail section, an almond shaped fuel tank, more relaxed riding position, forward set foot pegs and alloy wheels wrapped with tubeless tyres. The spotted model had USD front forks, and disc brakes with dual-channel ABS system

The previous spyshots reveals that the cruiser has a long wheelbase, low mounted silencers, lower ground clearance and backrest for the pillion rider, which are common attributes of a cruiser motorcycle. The backrest could be offered as an accessory. The upcoming Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser will be the most feature-rich RE in India. It will get a digital instrument console with the tripper navigation system, which RE developed in association with Google.

The new Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser is likely to share the engine specs with the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. It will receive a 648cc twin-cylinder engine, which currently offers 47bhp of power and 57Nm of torque and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. RE engineers could tweak the engine to suit the needs of a cruiser bike.
