Republic Day activities will culminate with a “Beating Retreat” event at Vijay Chowkt.

The “Beating Retreat” event will take place at New Delhi’s famed Vijay Chowk as part of Republic Day celebrations. 31 enthralling and foot-tapping Indian songs will be performed by music bands from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The Shankhnaad song performed by the massed band will open the ceremony. Entertaining songs like Veer Bharat, Sangam Dur, Deshon ka Sartaj Bharat and Bhagirathi, and Arjuna by the Pipes and Drums ensemble will come next. Among other songs, the CAPF bands will perform Bharat Ke Jawan and Vijay Bharat. The Indian Air Force band will perform songs like Tiger Hill, Rejoice in Raisina, and Swadeshi, while the Indian Navy band will play a number of songs like INS Vikrant, Mission Chandrayaan, Jai Bharati, and Hum Tayyar Hain.

Among other songs, the Indian Army band will perform Agniveer, Taqat Watan, Kargil 1999, and Faulad Ka Jigar. Next, the Massed Bands will perform Drummers Call, Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon, and Kadam Kadam Badhaye Ja. The ever-popular song Sare Jahan se Acha will be played to cap off the celebration.
