Prabhas’ Fan Commits Suicide After Radhe Shyam Flops

Kurnool, AP: In a shocking incident, Prabhas’ ardent fan Ravi Teja committed suicide in Talag Nagar after the movie Radhe Shyam garnered negative reviews. The incident took place at Tilak Nagar in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district. Prabhas is yet to react to the incident.

Radhe Shyam was in the making for nearly three long years. The film finally graced the screens on March 11 amid huge expectations. Prabhas’s fans thronged to the theatres and celebrated the day by erecting cut-outs and bursting characters outside the theatres across India.

However, a 24-year-old fan named Ravi Teja watched Radhe Shyam and was disappointed with it. After the film garnered negative reports, he decided to end his life. Reportedly, he told his mother about the decision as he felt that Radhe Shyam did not live up to his expectations. The police officials have registered a case and are now investigating the same.

Ravi Teja’s demise came as a huge shock to Prabhas’s fans and netizens.

Radhe Shyam is a love story directed by Radha Krishna Kumar. The film features Prabhas as palmist Vikramaditya and Pooja Hegde as Dr Prerana. Produced by UV Creations, the film had to be postponed multiple times due to the novel coronavirus pandemic. Radhe Shyam has been receiving mixed reviews from critics and audience alike. While everyone appreciated the film’s grandeur, many spoke about the lack of a solid story.

The film earned 7 crores on day 4, a big dip from Sunday’s 24 crores. The Indian box office total now stands at 101.50 crores. The film was made on a budget between Rs 300-350 Crore.
