Polling for the Rajya Sabha will begin on February 27 and cover 56 seats across 15 states, according to the Election Commission.

Elections for 56 Rajya Sabha seats across 15 states were announced by the Election Commission. The polling notice will be sent out on February 8th, and nomination papers must be submitted by February 15th. The election is scheduled for February 27.

There are ten seats in Uttar Pradesh, six in Maharashtra, five in Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, and four in Gujarat. There are also three seats in each of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, and Odisha, and one in each of Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh.

April of this year marks the conclusion of the tenure for BJP president Jagat Prakash Nadda, MPs, Ashwini Vaishnaw, Bhupender Yadav, Parshottam Rupala, Mansukh Mandaviya, Dharmendra Pradhan, Narayan Rane, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, L Murugan, and V Muraleedharan, as well as several Union Ministers.
