Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Melas are being held in 280 sites across 28 states and Union Territories by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship today. To give local youngsters the chance to define their careers through apprenticeship training, some local firms have been asked to participate in the Mela. Participating businesses will have the opportunity to network with possible apprentices on a single platform and make hiring decisions right away. Every month on the second Monday, apprenticeship melas are organised to improve the employability of young people in India.

By visiting www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in, people can register for the Mela and identify the closest site. Students must hold a diploma from fifth through twelfth grade, a certificate of skill training, an ITI diploma, or a graduate degree to be eligible to apply. Those who have already registered are asked to show up at the location with all necessary paperwork.

According to Atul Kumar Tiwari, secretary of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Apprenticeship Melas have a big impact on the growing number of apprenticeships and their successful execution nationwide. The government’s goal is to train one million youngsters annually through apprenticeship training, and the Pradhan Mantri National Apprenticeship Mela is being used as a platform to boost participation from businesses and students in order to achieve this goal.
