Over 5 crore individuals received free medical care as part of the current VBSY

The government claims that during the current Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, almost five crore people received free medical care. According to the Union Health Ministry, around two lakh health camps have been held in urban local bodies and gram panchayats till date. According to the Ministry, the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana has resulted in the creation of about 2 crore 61 lakh Ayushman cards at the camps. The flagship program seeks to cover secondary and tertiary care hospitalization costs for families with five lakh rupees in health coverage annually.

Over 2.62 crore people were checked for tuberculosis during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, and about ten lakh of those results were submitted to higher public health facilities.
