New Delhi: Om Birla Speaker of the Lok Sabha, will deliver a speech at the National Conference on Tourist Police Scheme in New Delhi. Implementing an unified tourist police scheme at the national level of India in order to provide tourist-specific policing is on the conference’s agenda.
Additionally, it aims to create a safer environment for both domestic and international travellers in and around tourist attractions. The seminar is being organised by the Ministry of Tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs and Bureau of Police Research and Development.
According to the Ministry, this will alter how the world views India in terms of safety and security and contribute to making India a popular travel destination.
