New Delhi: Nirmala Sitharaman, the minister of finance for the union, met with representatives of labour unions prior to the budget. Additionally, she is due to meet with the economists this evening.

The Minister previously met with social sector representatives, business leaders, infrastructure and climate change specialists, and agricultural and agro-processing industry experts. Additionally, she met with the finance ministers of the States and Union Territories before to the budget.

For the Union Budget 2023–24, the government has in the meantime welcomed public ideas and suggestions. It asked individuals to contribute their insights and recommendations that could turn India into a hub of inclusive economic prosperity.
