Narendra Modi will launch a number of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited projects in Odisha.

Odisha: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate several projects of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited worth around 2,145 crore rupees in Odisha on Saturday. As per the Ministry of Coal,  Bhubaneswari Phase-I, a First Mile Connectivity (FMC) project in Talcher Coalfields, Angul district will be inaugurated by PM Modi. The project built with a cost of 335 crore rupees, will reduce rake loading time to approximately 50 minutes.

Another important project is the Lajkura Rapid Loading System (RLS), constructed at an investment of about 375 crore rupees. This system is designed to enhance coal quality and achieving a loading time of around 50 minutes, embracing eco-friendly transportation.

According to the Ministry, these initiatives offer local kids worthwhile job opportunities in addition to greatly reducing their negative environmental effects. Together with these historic initiatives, the Prime Minister will also open IB Valley Washery, an Odisha district in Jharsuguda that was constructed at a cost of more than 550 crore rupees. Through innovation, sustainability, and increasing the bar for coal quality standards, this project will represent a paradigm shift in the coal processing industry for quality.
