New Delhi: The International Year of Millets 2023 should become a widespread movement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged the members of Parliament. This was mentioned by Mr. Modi during his speech to the BJP parliamentary party gathering today at Parliament House Complex.

In his post-meeting press conference, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi cited the Prime Minister as adding that he stressed two points. First, millets can be used to promote an ongoing nutrition campaign, and second, cuisine produced from millets can be offered to guests at G20 meetings and events so they can appreciate the value of millets. The Prime Minister, he claimed, emphasised the need of including millet in athletes’ diets.

The International Year of Millets 2023 is being observed on the government’s demand, according to Mr. Joshi, who noted that this is the most significant aspect. Dr. S. Jaishanker, the minister of external affairs, provided a thorough overview of the G20 meetings and events that will be held in the nation during the gathering.
