Jaipur: A 31-year-old woman from the Netherlands was allegedly raped in Rajasthan’s Jaipur. The incident took place at a hotel in the city.
According to police, the act was committed under the pretext of giving an ayurvedic massage. The victim is a resident of the Netherlands who was on a visit to Rajasthan.
The victim was offered an Ayurvedic massage at the hotel where she stayed, with her family members. She wanted a female masseuse, but a male was sent to her room. Allegedly, he made the woman naked under the guise of massage and raped her. The ordeal on for about two hours. After the accused left the hotel, the victim quickly packed off from the place.
According to the victim, the accused had threatened her not to open her mouth.
A case has been registered at Sindhi Camp Police Station. Acting swiftly, the police rounded up the suspect in just four hours.
The accused, Biju Muralidharan is a Kerala resident. He worked as a massage service provider in Khatipura, Jaipur. He was caught while trying to flee to Kerala. He was living at a rented accommodation in the Khatipura area of the city,
The woman came to Delhi with her family members along with a group of tourists on March 12
DCP West Richa Tomar said the police is interrogating the accused. A further probe is underway.
