India highlights the importance of fostering sustainable startup ecosystems to address global concerns.

India’s impressive economic size and market potential, said Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal, have been instrumental in fostering startups’ growth and success in the world startup ecosystem. In his speech at the Startup 20 Shikhar in Gurugram, Haryana, Mr. Goyal argued that in order to address global concerns, there needs to be a global effort to foster inclusive, sustaining startup ecosystems everywhere.

He asserted that supporting innovation and the startup ecosystem is not just the responsibility of specific governments, but also of all nations as a whole. The Minister emphasised the significance of the G20 discussions on startups, saying that the emphasis must be on easing the sharing of ideas, best practises, and finance methods as well as encouraging cooperation in R&D.

The Minister praised the Startup 20 Engagement Group and noted that this gathering of people with various backgrounds and skill sets aims to promote cooperation and bridge geographic disparities. Mr. Goyal expressed the hope that both local and foreign participants will go home with priceless memories, insights, and contacts to support their own startup endeavours and advance the development of the entrepreneurial communities in their respective countries. According to the minister, India is excited to collaborate with its partner nations through Startup20 and is still committed to exchanging ideas and working as a team to support the upcoming generation of job creators who are redefining the future.
