IIT Guwahati’s “PARAM KAMRUPA” supercomputer facility is inaugurated by President Droupadi Murmu.

Guwahati : On the first day of her visit to the State, Indian President Smt. Droupadi Murmu opened the “PARAM KAMRUPA” Supercomputer facility and a high-power active and passive component laboratory of SAMEER at Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati. The National Supercomputing Mission installed the Param Kamrupa, a first-of-its-kind supercomputer in the North East.

The President virtually opened the Dhubri Medical College and Hospital at the same event and set the cornerstone for the National Institute of Virology’s Dibrugarh, Assam, and Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh Zonal Institutes.

Speaking to the crowd at IIT Guwahati, President Smt. Murmu stated that the North Eastern states are making significant gains toward development and are working extremely hard to offer the region’s residents a high-quality education and healthcare system. The nation’s light should be carried by this region.
