High-speed 5G cellular services are introduced by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in Odisha.

Bhuvaneswar: High-speed fifth-generation (5G) communication services have been introduced in Odisha by Union Communications, IT, and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

The Minister announced the service after stating that by August 2024, all of Odisha will be covered with telecom towers and that fibre will reach every village.

Ashwini Vaishnaw added that it would become a powerful organisation with the help of the government. He claimed that the administration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set aside 5,600 crore rupees to instal 5,000 towers across 7,000 villages in Odisha.
