Goa chief minister Pramod Sawant calls on PM Modi

New Delhi: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here Monday and discussed a host of issues related to his state.

Sawant also met Tribal Affairs Minister Arjun Munda regarding the demand for inclusion of Goa’s Gouli-Dhangar Community in the Scheduled Tribes category.

A number of BJP chief ministers have called on Modi over the last few days, including B S Yediyurappa of Karnataka, Biplab Deb of Tripura and Jai Ram Thakur of Himachal Pradesh.

On Monday, Karnataka Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot also met the prime minister.

Gehlot had recently quit as a Cabinet minister in the Modi government and was appointed as governor.
