New Delhi: The nation’s security is reportedly impacted by forced conversion, according to the Supreme Court. It instructed the Center to express its opinion and submit a response outlining the efforts being taken to stop it within a week.

If forced religious conversions are not stopped, a bench of Justices M R Shah and Hima Kohli stated, a very terrible situation will develop. According to the court, forced religious conversion is a very serious issue that could potentially jeopardise national security as well as citizen freedom of conscience and religion. On the 28th of this month, the court will review the situation once more.

Ashwini Kumar Upadhyay, an attorney, has filed a petition with the Apex Court asking for guidance on how to implement strict measures to prevent false religious conversion.
