England defeats Pakistan by 5 wickets to win the T20 world cup

Melbourne: England won the T20 global championship by defeating Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground by a margin of five wickets, making history and capturing their second T20 world championship.

In order to defeat Pakistan and win the World Cup, England was propelled by Ben Stokes’ bat and Sam Curran’s ball. They are now the only team to hold both the ODI and T20 World Cup titles. With one over remaining, England successfully completed the modest 138 run total. Ben Stokes guided the innings to a triumphant conclusion with an unbeaten 52 runs after opener Jos Butler set the tone with a 17 ball 26 run.

In Pakistan While Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Wasim, and Shadab Khan each claimed one wicket, Haris Rauf claimed two. Both Player of the Match and Player of the Series honours went to Sam Curran. Earlier, England chose to bowl first after winning the toss. In the allotted 20 overs, Pakistan scored 137 while losing eight wickets.
