Hyderabad: The Indian Police Service’s Officer Trainees were tasked by President Droupadi Murmu with putting an end to public mistrust of the police. At Hyderabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy, she was speaking to the probationers. The President remarked that police officers all around the nation are performing yeoman duty.

She continued by saying that in addition to security concerns, police officers should actively participate in community building activities to allay public fears. The police are used to address any problems that arise in society, according to the president, and they frequently find solutions to problems that others are unable to.

The presence of so many female officer trainees made the president happy. She made a comparison to the past, when women would never have considered entering the police service. She commended the young women and their parents for choosing to enter the difficult field of law enforcement.

The President urged the probationers to carry out their duties that were focused on the public in a cordial way. By the time the nation has been free for 100 years, she radiated confidence that it can be done. The President wished the trainees success in their leadership roles in society and for them to actively participate in the nation’s development.
