Kanpur : In order to safeguard the public, the city of Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh banned the breeds Pitbull and Rottweiler. This followed a vicious attack on a cow by a pit-bull breed that left deep gouges in the mouth of the victim.
Pitbulls and Rottweilers are currently prohibited from entering the city limits in order to safeguard the public. This decision was made following a Pitbull dog attack on a cow at Sarsaiya Ghat and in light of an increase in Pitbull dog attacks.
