New Delhi: Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister for Education and Skill Development, declared that today is a historic day for reviving the apprenticeship ecosystem in our nation. On Saturday in New Delhi, he was introducing the Direct Benefit Transfer under National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.

The Minister also distributed approximately 15 crores of rupees to 1 lakh apprentices and concentrated on the objective of encouraging earning while studying as envisioned in the National Education Policy and elevating the status of apprenticeships.

According to the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, more than 25 lakh apprentices have been hired since the Scheme’s launch in 2016, and 3 lakh of those apprentices will have finished their training by 2023.
