Compliance Coordinator

We are looking for experienced professionals who were unemployed or underemployed for 2 or more years and are looking to restart their careers. Our Returnship is a 6-month, full time, paid program where Returners are aligned to opportunities that match their experiences, interests and abilities while also providing a cohort-based experience to build skills and foster internal networks.

Should this Returnship prove successful for both the Returner and Sensata, it is our intention to offer a permanent position.

The Compliance Coordinator is responsible to develop, maintain and monitor Sensata s Global Procurement compliance processes, policies, procedures, and training programs ensuring compliance as required by laws, regulations, specific industry certifications or standards, and Sensata s environment, social and governance programs.

Responsibilities include participation in projects focused on improvement process efficiency and effectiveness, standardization and consolidation of global processes, alignment of procurement goals and objectives to processes, and support onboarding of mergers and acquisitions.

The position reports into the Sensata s Global Procurement Business Process and Compliance Senior Manager.

Additionally, this individual may support special project assignments supporting Sensata s Digital Transformation Program.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate policy and procedure development, track approval, maintain schedule for updates and conduct reviews of record retention policy
  • Maintain Global Procurement Environmental, Social and Governance schedule, deliverables and communicate to team members
  • Assess process compliance by conducting data analysis, identifying risk and issues, performing root cause analysis and documenting remediation plans and track corrective action plans to close. Generate reports and present findings to leadership
  • Maintain the Global Procurement collaborative workspace including communications, document postings, training documentation and awareness campaigns. Maintain ongoing plan and manage deadlines
  • Work with cross functional team members and departments to ensure compliance requirement are adhered to. Develop and maintain communication with external compliance providers and suppliers
  • Develop process models as is and to be, document procedures, instructions and process documentation and conduct process effectiveness reviews
  • Develop training curriculum, maintain training rosters, and deliver training to internal and external team members
  • Maintain training effectiveness surveys and continually assess needs to training updates, maintain training schedules, and conduct refreshers, as required
  • Support audit activities including ongoing supplier audits, preparation of deliverables, interviews and reporting
  • Participate in special project as required

Experience/Qualifications

  • A university degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Bachelor s degree) or a graduate degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Master s degree)
  • Experience in compliance program administration, supply chain processes, process modeling and development, data modeling, data analysis, document and configuration management and schedule management
  • Experience in leading projects using Project Management methodology is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills supported by comprehensive data analysis and visual presentation of data and status reporting
  • Highly proficient at conducting effective meetings with defined agenda, establish priorities and due dates and collaboratively work with team members to ensure deliverables are completed
  • Ability to conduct independent research of compliance topics and provide recommendations
  • Excellent clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prepare effective presentations, brief at all levels in the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to details and schedule orientated
  • Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
