Gujarat: Bhupendra Patel, a BJP leader, was sworn in as Gujarat’s 18th chief minister today. At the formal ceremony held at the helipad field in Gandhinagar, Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat administered the oath of office and secrecy to him.

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, numerous Union Ministers, including Amit Shah, Smriti Irani, and Mansukh Mandaviya, as well as Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled States, including Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh and Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Madhya Pradesh.

16 Ministers and the Chief Minister were also sworn in today. Eight Cabinet members, six Ministers of State, and two Ministers of State with Independent Charge will make up the new Council of Ministers. The new Cabinet only has one female member.

Some former ministers from the previous administration of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, including Rushikesh Patel, Kanubhai Desai, Raghavji Patel, Harsh Sanghavi, and Jagdish Vishvakarma, are now members of the new Council of Ministers.
