A passing out parade is held in Leh to commemorate the induction of the first batch of Agniveer recruits into the Ladakh Scouts Regiment.

Ladakh: The first batch of Agniveer recruits were inducted into the Ladakh Scouts Regiment with a passing out ceremonial in Leh. Dr. B. D. Mishra, Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, was the chief guest, and the event was attended by a distinguished assemblage of military and civil leaders.

The Lieutenant Governor stated that the induction of Agniveers into the Ladakh Scouts Regiment is a great time for them. He exhorted them to work hard so that their efforts would inspire others to participate in nation building. The Agniveers, who came from various parts of Ladakh, demonstrated their passion as they marched in the parade. The Reviewing Officer encouraged them to devote their lives to serving the nation.

throughout the occasion, young Agniveers were praised and awarded medals for their outstanding achievement throughout training. In addition, the Gaurav Padak, a special award, was given to parents who are presently or have previously served in the Army and whose children entered the Regiment as Agniveers.
