The Telangana government and WE Hub have partnered with NITI Aayog to develop the first State Chapter of Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP). The WEP boasts more than 30,000 registered women entrepreneurs and associations, together with more than 400 mentors from various economic areas. The WEP Telangana Chapter has named WE Hub Chief Executive Officer Sita Pallocholla as its mission director. The State’s nodal agency for all WEP initiatives will be WE Hub.

The platform’s goal is to support and encourage female entrepreneurs in all industries by giving them access to tools, resources, and a strong network to help their businesses flourish. The WEP will provide tailored assistance such as market connections, mentorship, access to financial services, and digital skilling. NITI Aayog CEO B V R Subrahmanyam addressed a group of women entrepreneurs from various regions of the State and mentioned that among the challenges faced by women entrepreneurs are banks’ lack of understanding of their issues and the lack of guarantors.

According to him, women need support to continue their entrepreneurial endeavors. According to Jayesh Ranjan, Telangana’s Special Chief Secretary for IT and Industries, the Chapter would set up shop in each of the State’s mandals to encourage women entrepreneurs at the local level.
