The adoption of new criminal legislation, according to Chief Justice of India (CJI) Dr. D Y Chandrachud, is a blatant sign that the nation is progressing and evolving. Speaking at a conference in New Delhi, Dr. Chandrachud stated that the country is about to undergo a major reform of its criminal justice system due to the implementation of three criminal laws: the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, the Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, and the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
According to him, these legislation have ushered India’s criminal justice system into a new era. Dr. Chandrachud emphasized the use of artificial intelligence, stating that it will allow the courts to monitor the status of criminal trials. According to him, the use of AI in process detection should be pursued. He went on to say that if every person in the nation embraced these new rules, they would be successful. The adoption of new criminal legislation, according to MoS Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal, is a historic step in the twenty-first century. He emphasized that these laws have characteristics like electronic filing and online trials.
