Under the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, staff from Mumbai’s 220 IEC (Information, Education, and Communication) vans visited 227 wards in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, actively disseminating information about the government’s numerous welfare programmes. Approximately thirty thousand residents have already undergone screenings at the health camps run by the VBSY. The BMC’s Savita Kardele, a public health nurse, reported that medical professionals gave information about the Ayushman Health cards and conducted screenings for a number of illnesses, such as diabetes, hypertension, and tuberculosis.
