Accompanying the exterior color scheme is gloss black accents on the grille, headlight surrounds and window surrounds, replacing the chrome accents from the standard versions. It now sits on a pair of charcoal-themed 18-inch alloy wheels, like the Harrier Dark Edition, and the rest of its product range. The Tata and Dark Edition badges retain the chrome touch to it. On the inside, the Tata Safari Dark Edition features a dark theme, called the Blackstone Dark theme. This theme takes over the cabin and is spread across the dashboard, and the upholstery, which is now available in Nappa Granite Black color scheme and blue stitching.

Based on the XT+/XTA+, and XZ+/XZA+ trims, the Safari Dark Edition has fairly been equipped with features such as an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, JBL audio system, a 7.0-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, ventilated seats for the second row, a panoramic sunroof and leatherette seat upholstery. Power will be sourced from the same 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine developing 168 bhp, couple to both 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox option.
