Mechanical Engineer
Job Purpose / Responsibilities –
- To implement corrective, planned preventive and predicted maintenance on process equipments in all Fiberizers, Furnace, Binder, Batch, and utility equipments.
- To analyze equipment operating problems and to find proper solution and to implement to avoid repeated breakdown of machineries.
- To achieve 97% of machine utilization by minimizing breakdowns and to ensure KIMMCO quality assurance system requirement
Key Accountabilities:
Overview
Routine checking of running equipments and take corrective actions in order to prevent breakdowns for achieving KIMMCO quality assurance system requirements.
To supervise and control implementation of preventive and planned maintenance as per the planning schedule.
To maintain and monitor spare parts availability within minimum inventory level while achieving KIMMCO quality assurance system requirements.
To evaluate machine performance and come up with ideas to upgrade and improve machine utilization and efficiency.
Update all mechanical equipment specification files within 99% accuracy and update all mechanical drawings within 14 working days after equipment modification.
Preparation of materials, tools, equipment and follow up with concern departments to avoid delays and pending schedules.
To attend machinery emergency breakdown immediately at any time if required.
Close supervision and monitoring of daily work activities of personnel under him and to ensure their expected working out put with good quality of work.
To maintain log book with all activities of mechanical jobs carried out during day and night with proper timing.
IMS Responsibility:
- Ensures that all people reporting to him are updated for latest developments / changes
/ issues pertaining to EH& S and Quality.
- Ensures compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS), in line with OHSAS
18001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001, with emphasis on compliance and continuous
improvements.
Authority:
To halt performing the activity and inform his superiors , in case of any issues related to
quality, environment & safety
Accountability:
Accountability for above orientation responsibility
Relevant Education, Knowledge & Experience:
- Completion of a college or university program in Mechanical engineering
- Five to ten years of supervisory maintenance experience in glass wool process required.
- Must have through technical knowledge of Fiberizer machines rotating equipments like
pumps (reciprocating as well as rotary), reciprocating compressors, fan, blowers and other
stationary equipments.
- Must have experience of all rotating equipments and trouble shooting experience in
process/glass manufacturing industries.
- Hard working, self motivated person, with good communication skills is essential.
