69th National Film Awards were announced, with Allu Arjun taking home the Best Actor prize and Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon sharing the Best Actress prize.

New Delhi: The 69th National Film Awards were announced today in New Delhi. The Best Feature Film for the Year 2021 has been determined to be Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, directed by R Madhavan, according to Ketan Mehta, the chairperson of the Feature Film Jury, who gave a briefing to the media this evening. He said that Pushpa had earned Allu Arjun the Best Actor Award.

For “Mimi” and “Gangubai Kathiawadi,” Mr. Mehta announced that Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon will split the Best Actress Award. According to him, Pankaj Tripathi will get the Best Supporting Actor Award for Mimi, while Pallavi Joshi will win the Best Supporting Actress Award for Mimi’s portrayal of Kashmir in the Kashmir Files. According to Mr. Mehta, The Kashmir Files, which was directed by Vivek Agnihotri, will receive the Nargis Dutt Award for Best National Integration Film. RRR won the award for Best Popular Film that Provides Holistic Entertainment.

Nikhil Mahajan will get National Film Award for Best direction for his Marathi film ‘Godavari’. Shreya Ghoshal bagged the Best Female Playback Singer for the song ‘Mayava Chayava’ from the film ‘Iravin Nizhal’ and Kaala Bhairava won the Best Male Playback Singer for the song ‘Komuram Bheemudo’ from the film ‘RRR’. Chandrabose will receive the Best Lyrics award Telugu Film ‘Konda Palam’. Prem Rakshith will get the Best Choreography award for ‘RRR’. Devi Sri Prasad and M.M. Keeravaani will get the Best Music Direction award for ‘Pushpa the Rise’ and ‘RRR’. Shoojit Sircar’s biographical historical drama ‘Sardar Udham Singh’ bagged Best Hindi Film, apart from this it also won Best Cinematography, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design awards. Bhavin Rabari will get the Best Child Artist Award for Gujarati Film ‘Chhello Show’. Bakul Matiyani will get the Best Direction award in the Non-Feature film category for his work Smile Please. A total of 280 films from 28 languages were submitted for the awards in year 2021.
