New Delhi: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is commemorating its Raising Day for the 74th time. The world’s largest uniformed youth organisation was founded in 1948. A march past, cultural events, and social development initiatives are all part of the nationwide celebration of the day that involves cadet participation.

The NCC’s multifaceted programmes and eclectic curriculum provide young people special chances to grow as individuals. Through their outstanding accomplishments in sports and adventure, numerous cadets have brought honour to the country and the organisation.

By accepting more than a lakh new cadets in recent years, the NCC has also expanded into the country’s coastline and border regions. The kids from these places have been inspired by this to enlist in the military and support national development.

The NCC has also served as a venue for leveraging international ties for more than 40 years by dispatching its cadets as peace and unity ambassadors to more than 25 countries.
