The railway will never be privatised, according to Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnav. As per the Union Minister, the Central Government has made significant expenditures in railways, with a focus on research, security, and human resources, as the railway serves as a method of transportation for the country’s poor and middle class. Though he pointed out that certain political parties are circulating rumors about the railway possibly being privatized, he adamantly stated that this will not happen.

Speaking today at the Railway Protection Force’s 40th founding day in Nashik, Maharashtra, was Mr. Vaishnav. Speaking to a crowd gathered to watch the RPF’s Raising Day Parade, the Minister announced a grant of ₹35 crores for the remodeling and upgrading of the Force’s Zonal Training Centers, with an emphasis on facilities for female soldiers. An additional grant of ₹5.5 crore was sanctioned for the Zonal Training Centre for the RPF Dog Squad in Tamil Nadu, aimed at improving the specialized training infrastructure.

The Railway Protection Force (RPF) was commended by the Minister for its proactive integration of contemporary technology to improve security protocols. He promised that in order to maintain the effectiveness and safety of its employees, the RPF will be outfitted with cutting-edge protective gear, such as enhanced helmets and bulletproof jackets.
