New Delhi: Rajnath Singh, the defence minister, will launch a website called “Maa Bharati Ke Sapoot” that would allow people to donate to the Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund, (AFBCWF) on friday. It will be unveiled at a celebration planned for New Delhi’s National War Memorial Complex.

Amitabh Bachchan, a renowned actor, has agreed to serve as the goodwill ambassador. Ten Next of Kin of heroes who have died and troops who have been injured while serving in the military will also be honoured  Also invited are the parents and relatives of numerous troops who received military decorations.
AFBCWF is a Tri service fund used to provide prompt ex-gratia financial aid to the dependents and next of kin of battle casualties. There is a strong public sentiment and requests from patriotic citizens, corporate heads, or industry captains to contribute to the cause of welfare of the soldiers and their families, even though the Government of India has launched a large number of Welfare Schemes for the soldiers killed or disabled during active military operations in the line of duty. The establishment of this website will encourage patriotism To make it easier for patriotic Indians to support this admirable cause, this website has been developed.
