New Delhi: The forthcoming union budget, according to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, would serve as a model for preparing India for the next 25 years.

She stated that the upcoming budget will adhere to the spirit of earlier ones while speaking at a Ficci event. In response to recession worries in the West, Ms. Sitharaman invited business to establish ideas for how companies operating in developed nations may consider India as a production or sourcing base.

She claimed that in order to draw in foreign investment, the government has made numerous regulatory changes and accommodations. It is also interacting with businesses that wish to establish in India. According to Ms. Sitharaman, the manufacturing sector also needs to have a strategy to draw companies from developed nations like Europe who may be looking to shift their production base from China.
