New Delhi: A formal discussion on the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework will take place in India the next month, in February, according to Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal.

He claimed that the US and India had agreed on dates for the upcoming Commercial Dialogue and the CEO Forum meeting, which would both take place in India in March of this year.
Mr. Goyal claimed, while speaking to the media in Washington, DC, that US businesses are seeking significant capital investments and that they are considering India as a reliable partner to diversify their geographic operations.

According to him, India has far higher goals for its trade with the US and is putting more emphasis on expanding market access and facilitating commerce between the two countries.

According to Mr. Goyal, India explored further cooperation with the US on semiconductor manufacturing at the Trade Policy Forum, and many US businesses are looking into the prospects in India’s defence manufacturing industry.
