50 lakh Digital Life Certificates from Central administration Pensioners are the goal that the administration wants to achieve by March of the following year. The Digital Life Certificate Campaign 2.0 was examined by the Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare in conjunction with Pensioners Welfare Associations and Nodal Officers from sixteen banks around the country.
In order to guarantee that every pensioner submits a Digital Life Certificate, Secretary of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare V Srinivas emphasised throughout the meeting the necessity of a saturation strategy. He continued by saying that DLCs of super senior retirees who are older than 80 years should apply a very targeted strategy. Additionally, he noted that the government’s declared goal of digitally empowering retirees is in line with its Minimum Government and Maximum Governance programme. Over 41 lakh Central Government pensioners are among the 1.29 crore pensioners who have submitted DLCs under the DLC Campaign 2.0.
