Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has stated that there is currently an ecosystem in which there are no middlemen or corrupt practices in the corridors of power, and equality and accountability before the law are now realities. Speaking at Maharshi Dayanand University’s 18th convocation in Rohtak, the Vice President stated that fifteen years ago, there were a lot of power brokers and liaison agents in the corridors of power, and corruption was a necessary part of doing business. However, he remarked, the current situation is that the halls of governance have been cleared of influential people who used dishonest, illegal ways to influence decisions.

Those who believed they were untouchable are shocked to learn that they are legally enforceable, and Mr. Dhankhar emphasised that honesty, responsibility, openness, and integrity are non-negotiable characteristics. The vice president stated that the core of democracy is that everyone, no matter how powerful, is answerable to the law. Affirmative action laws and effective leadership, according to Mr. Dhankhar, have given young people a safe space to express their potential, fulfil their dreams, and join India on its momentous journey towards “Bharat@2047.” He declared that India’s youth represent the future of a revived Bharat, and their accomplishments have been nothing short of remarkable. According to Mr. Dhankhar, they have made India the fifth-largest economy in the world.
