The French Open tennis tournament will get underway at Paris’s Stade Roland Garros in 2024.

The Stade Roland Garros in Paris will host the French Open 2024 tennis event starting today. On Sunday, May 26th, the main draw matches of the year’s second grand slam will take place. The men’s singles main draw spot was guaranteed for India’s top player, Sumit Nagal. Since Prajnesh Gunneswaran in 2019, he is the first male Indian player to earn a spot in the French Open main event.

At the Monte Carlo Masters, the 26-year-old Nagal upset world No. 38 Matteo Arnaldi to become the first Indian tennis player to reach the ATP Masters 1000 main draw in 42 years. Rafael Nadal, the Spanish player Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic, the world no. 1 from Serbia, will be the main attractions in the men’s singles tournament. Also anticipated to be a serious competitor is Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, ranked third in the world. Among the contenders are world No. 6 Casper Ruud, two-time French Open runners-up Daniil Medvedev, and Jannik Sinner, the winner of the Australian Open. Australian Matthew Ebden, ranked third in the world, and seasoned veteran Rohan Bopanna, ranked fourth in the world, will be among the title favorites in the men’s doubles.
