New Delhi: The fifth bilateral Cyber Policy Dialogue between Australia and India was held in New Delhi. The India-Australia Framework Arrangement on Cyber and Cyber-Enabled Critical Technology Cooperation and Plan of Action 2020–2025 for a comprehensive and deeper cyber cooperation served as the framework for the Cyber Policy Dialogue. Joint Secretary (Cyber Diplomacy Division) Muanpuii Saiawi from the Ministry of External Affairs served as co-chair of the discussion.

Senior representatives from CERT-In, the National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Center, the Home Ministry, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the Department of Telecommunications, and the National Security Council Secretariat made up the Indian delegation. Senior representatives from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Department of Home Affairs, Department of Industry, Science, and Resources, as well as the Australian Federal Police, made up the Australian delegation.

The Cyber Policy Dialogue offers a platform for bilateral discussion on a variety of high-profile topics of shared interest. Strategic priorities, a cyber threat assessment, 5G technology, capacity building and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, and the most recent advances in cyber at the UN were all topics covered during this dialogue.
