The 27th National Youth Festival will be opened at Nashik, Maharashtra, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Additionally, on National Youth Day, which commemorates the birth anniversary of youth icon Swami Vivekananda, he will address the youth of the country. “MYBharat-ViksitBharat@2047- By the Youth, For the Youth” is the theme of the five-day event. There will be cultural events reflecting the rich cultural history of several states. On this occasion, 750 district headquarters around the nation as well as major cities will host road safety awareness programmes.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate the day to the country and lay the cornerstones for several development projects in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai during his visit to Maharashtra. He will travel on the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Sewri – Nhava Sheva Atal Setu and inaugurate it in Mumbai. The six-lane bridge, which cost more than 17,840 crore rupees to build, is India’s longest sea bridge. The Prime Minister will speak at a public meeting in Navi Mumbai and unveil several development projects that will cost more than 12,700 crore rupees. The rail and drinking water projects are connected. They also feature underground road tunnel connecting Eastern Freeway’s Orange Gate to Marine Drive to be developed at a cost of more than 8,700 crore rupees.

The Santacruz Electronic Export Processing Zone, a Special Economic Zone, will host the Prime Minister’s inaugural Bharat Ratnam for Gems and Jewellery industry. This is the first of its kind in India and features some of the best machinery in the world, including 3D metal printing. The Prime Minister will introduce Namo Mahila Shashaktikaran Abhiyaan during the programme. By offering training in skill development and exposure to business development, it seeks to empower women in Maharashtra.
