New Delhi: On ssc.nic.in, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is holding a hiring drive for positions as a Scientific Assistant. On September 30, registration opened, and prospective applicants must submit their applications by October 18, 2022. The India Metrological Department is hiring a scientific assistant. Approximately 990 positions will be filled through this recruitment drive. Candidates have until October 20, 2022, to pay the application fee online.
Candidates must meet the minimum eligibility requirements by earning either a diploma in electronics and telecommunication engineering from an accredited institution or university, or a bachelor’s degree in science (with physics as one of the subjects), computer science, information technology, or computer applications from a recognised institution or university. A computer-based test will be used to choose the candidates. Candidates must respond to 200 questions, each of which is worth one mark. Each incorrect response will result in a 0.25 mark deduction during the exam.
Candidates who are female, from a Scheduled Caste or Tribe, have a qualifying disability, or are ex-servicemen (ESM) will not be charged an application fee. The application fee for the remaining candidates is Rs. 100.Candidates must have been born between October 17, 2004, and October 19, 1992.
