Over 13 crore people have been lifted out of poverty in the last few years thanks to actions taken by the Central government, according to Union Power and New & Renewable Energy Minister R K Singh. The Minister stated that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) is being undertaken by the Central government to reach out to the unreached, adding that the government has launched numerous schemes to elevate the poor. Speaking earlier at the VBSY organised at Krishnanagar in Hyderabad, he advised people to make use of programmes and schemes like PM Awas Yojana, Mudra Yojana and Start-up India among others. The Minister urged people to make the most of the VBSY by providing instances of recipients who had shared their tales on the occasion.
