The third phase of polling for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections begins today. Voting is taking place in 93 Lok Sabha constituencies distributed across ten states and one union territory. The voting started at 7 a.m. and will stop at 6 p.m.
During this phase, elections will be held for 25 seats in Gujarat, 14 in Karnataka, 11 in Maharashtra, and 10 in Uttar Pradesh. Furthermore, voting is taking place in nine seats in Madhya Pradesh, seven in Chhattisgarh, five in Bihar, four in Assam and West Bengal, and two each in Goa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman.
Polling is also taking place in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul Parliamentary Constituency in the third phase, after the polling date was postponed from Phase two due to the death of a BSP candidate. The polling for the Anantnag-Rajouri Parliamentary Constituency in Jammu and Kashmir, which was originally slated for the third phase, will now take place in the sixth. Furthermore, no polling will take place in Gujarat’s Surat Parliamentary Constituency because the candidate was elected unopposed.
