New Delhi: At the 90th Interpol General Assembly in New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a speech. From the 18th to the 21st of this month, INTERPOL’s General Assembly will be conducted. Delegations from 195 INTERPOL member nations will attend the meeting, including Ministers, country police chiefs, heads of national central bureaus, and senior police personnel.
Jurgen Stock, the head of Interpol, spoke with the media in New Delhi on the eve of the General Assembly meeting and emphasised the impact that the rise in real-world and online violence is having on businesses, governments, and society as a whole. Organised crime networks earning billions of dollars, according to Mr. Stock, are not as concerning as the fact that 99.9% of stolen property is still in criminal possession.
A daily average of seven child abuse victims have been found, according to Interpol’s database on international child sexual exploitation, he claimed. He said that 30,000 victims had so far been located. Mr. Stock urged stepping up efforts to defend the world’s most vulnerable people.
