Cargo Ship Ban; Trade Delays and Surge in Costs.

Islamabad: Pakistan is facing significant setbacks following India’s restriction on its cargo vessels. The ban has caused major disruptions in the movement of goods, resulting in severe delays and a sharp increase in freight charges.

Shipping agents say that freight charges have gone up significantly, and consignments are now facing long delays. Pakistani traders and exporters are now being forced to reroute their cargo through ports in the UAE or Iran, leading to additional costs and time losses.

This situation adds to Pakistan’s already strained economic condition, with traders urging authorities to resolve the issue diplomatically to avoid long-term damage to import-export businesses.
