New Delhi: Indian citizens’ security overseas is one of the government’s top objectives, according to Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan.
The Minister stated that the Indian Missions and Posts keep attentive and closely monitor any untoward incidence in a written response to a question posed in the Rajya Sabha today. According to him, such occurrences are brought up right away with the relevant authorities in the host nation to make sure that these cases are thoroughly investigated and the offenders are punished.
According to Mr. Muraleedharan, these issues are also brought up in discussions with top government officials from the relevant countries. He further mentioned that Indian Missions and Posts overseas provide Indian people with all necessary consular support whenever needed and have set up 24-hour helplines in the Indian Missions.
