New Delhi: The National Florence Nightingale Awards for 2022 and 2023 were presented to nursing workers today at the Rashtrapati Bhavan by President Droupadi Murmu. The distinguished award was given to thirty nursing practitioners in recognition of their commitment, duty, and community service.

Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, informed President Murmu on the Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Abhiyaan’s development at the time. He acknowledged his appreciation for her leadership throughout the nationwide campaign that inspired people from all walks of life and regions to come together in support of thousands of TB patients.

The Ni-Akshay Mitra initiative and the Abhiyaan were emphasised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his most recent Mann Ki Baat programme, according to Dr. Mandaviya. By 2025, India wants to be rid of TB completely. The adoption of TB patients in rural areas has reached thousands of people.
