On the centenary commemoration of Aai Shree Sonal Maa’s birth, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised her efforts for the nation’s welfare. “Aai Shree Sonal Maa’s entire life was dedicated to the country and the welfare of the people,” the Prime Minister stated during his virtual speech. According to Mr. Modi, Sonal Ma fought for Junagadh during the partition.
The Prime Minister stated that Aai Shree Sonal Maa is proof positive that there are still incarnate souls in India. Many saints and mahants from Gujarat and Saurashtra, Mr. Modi said, have diffused light for humanity. The Prime Minister described Sonal Maa’s personality as that of a beacon of light for the current period. Mr. Modi continued, “Her humanitarian teachings, spiritual energy, and penance created a wonderful charm in her personality.” She’s always with us, he said.
