Dhaka: The Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Auditorium of the Bangladesh National Museum hosted the opening of the Korean Film Festival 2022. Five Korean films from various genres, including war, action thriller, animation, comedy, and more are being shown during the three-day film festival, which was organised by the Korea Foundation and the Korean Embassy in Bangladesh.
The festival’s opening ceremony and showing of the movie Escape from Mogadishu were both held on the first day. At the festival’s opening ceremony, South Korean ambassador to Bangladesh Lee Jang-keun attended as a special guest along with state minister for cultural affairs KM Khalid as the chief guest.
The Korean Film Festival’s opening ceremony was supposed to include a cultural performance. The cultural event had to be cancelled since South Korea is observing a week-long period of national sorrow,’ KM Khalid .
